The installation of 18 solar systems in early 2023, along with the introduction of dry toilets and water filters, has empowered local communities, fostering self-reliance, resilience, and a sense of ownership over these solutions.

Our introduction of clay, colloidal silver, and sawdust water filters in rural areas has provided up to 40 liters of safe drinking water daily per filter. These filters have been instrumental in reducing gastrointestinal diseases and health expenses among families

This year, we introduced innovative dry toilets in rural schools, which separate liquids and solids. These eco-toilets save significant amounts of water and provide a safer and more comfortable environment for women and girls, ensuring secure practices for menstruation and maternity.

In 2024, our focus will shift to establishing sustainable community stores, Tienda Grata, in rural areas of Colombia. These stores will be powered by photovoltaic energy, offering basic family products and creating local jobs.

At Give to the World, we believe that collaboration is key to achieving our mission of providing critical aid to those in need. Tierra Grata, a Colombian NGO, collaborates with Give To the World to provide essential services like clean energy, water, and sanitation to rural and Indigenous communities. They offer sustainable, income-adjusted solutions, focusing on decentralized, non-polluting methods and interest-free credit, targeting areas with limited governmental support for lasting environmental and social improvement.
