Partner Update: SAMS Hellas - Making Strides in Refugee Health and Safety - SAMS May 2024

A Brighter Future for Refugee Children

The refugee crisis in the Middle East continues to challenge us all, but hope shines through the incredible work of organizations like SAMS Hellas. Our partners are making a profound difference in the lives of countless refugee children by providing essential healthcare and training.

Lifesaving Care and Empowerment

In June 2024, SAMS Hellas' Mobile Pediatric Clinic brought vital medical care to children in refugee camps across Greece, including Ritsona, Malakasa, and Oinofyta. Their dedicated teams also partnered with community centers like Victoria Community Center, Seeds of Humanity, and Global Brigades to deliver essential services.

At the heart of their mission is protecting young lives. SAMS Hellas administered 300 vaccinations to children at the Seeds of Humanity clinic in Athens since March 2024, safeguarding them from preventable diseases.

Empowering local communities is another cornerstone of their work. By training staff at the 7th Primary School of Aspropyrgos in lifesaving first aid, SAMS Hellas is building a stronger support network for children in need.

Creating a Lasting Impact

These efforts are more than just short-term relief; they're investments in the future. SAMS Hellas demonstrates the power of compassion and targeted action in creating lasting change for refugees.
